FABRICS

Can I get FQ's cut?

If a fabric is available in .25 increments you are able to get that fabric as a Fat Quarter. Please make a note on the order at checkout that you would like a Fat Quarter cut.

Why are some fabrics only available as .5?

To help track with inventory and to be more economical with our space for fabric not all fabric is available in .25 increments.

Canvas and some sale fabrics are only available in half yard increments.

Grunge and any solid that is not Tilda will be sold in half yard increments. These fabrics can be confused with similar fabrics if they are not cut from a bolt and we want to make sure you get the correct fabrics.

What is a Fat Quarter? A Fat Eighth? A Fat Sixteenth?

A Fat Quarter is the same amount of fabric as a normal quarter yard cut but has different dimensions. A normal (or long) quarter yard cut is 9” x 43/44” and a fat quarter cut is 18” x 21/22.”

A Fat 8th is half of a fat quarter. It measures approximately 18” x 10/11.”

A Fat 16th is half of a fat 8th. It measures approximately 9” x 11.”

Do you sell fabric swatches or samples?

We do not have fabrics smaller than a FQ available for purchase, unless they are included in a bundle, such as a Fat 8 Bundle or for kits.

Why does fabric looks different in person?

Most images listed with a fabric is a digital photo provided to us from the manufacturer. We try and have photos available that have been taken professionally with the fabric release so you can see it with other fabrics from that line, but it is not possible to accurately see a fabric online and everyone sees color differently. Please note cut fabric is not returnable because you think it's the wrong color.

SHIPPING

When will my order ship? How fast can it ship out?

All orders ship within 3-5 Business Days, unless the items are a PREORDER. If so, you will see PREORDER in the item title and the shipping time at checkout should display the month it will be delivered.

We do our best to keep all our quilt kits in stock but it's possible when restocking a kit it might take an extra day for processing.

We ship via USPS. Regular packages currently arrive in 2-10 business days for domestic deliveries.

You can also choose to have your order shipped USPS priority- these take 3-5 business days after the order is shipped.

Can I pick up my order if I live locally?

Absolutely. Please select pickup as the delivery methon. Make a note on the order checkout screen if you have a day/time you prefer. We will email you that your order is ready for pickup with an additional email to schedule when you will be able to pick it up.

Can I get my order overnight shipped?

We do not have overnight shipping as an available option. You can upgrade to Priority USPS at checkout and we will process your order as quickly as possible.

I got a tracking number email but it hasn't updated. What can I do?

If you got an email with tracking before 3pm it will get picked up the following business day.

As soon as we get the shipping label your order will show as pre-transit.

Once it is scanned in at our location it will show in transit.

There is no understanding the route the post office takes, it's possible it will look like it's going on vacation before it gets to you.

USPS requests you wait 14 days before initiating a claim or missing mail search.

If your package hasn't moved in more than 14 days, please check the USPS Missing Mail link Search in the FAQ Section

If your package hasn't arrived at all, you need to let us know immediately. We cannot file claims on orders that shipped over 30 days ago. You will be responsible for the loss of the package. If we file a claim, we cannot reship until a claim is approved. Thank you for understanding!

How do I find out about sales and promotions?

To learn about sales, store promotions, and new releases, sign up for our newsletter or follow us on Instagram or Facebook.

I just missed a sale can I get the same price?

Unfortunately, all our sales are set up with start and end dates in the online system.  Please sign up for the newsletter so that you can stay in the loop and add laura@quiltedchicken.com to your contacts so that our emails don’t go to your spam folder.

ADDRESS/PAYMENT CHANGES

I am moving; how do I change my address on an order I placed?

If the order is pending shipment please contact laura@quiltedchicken.com so we can update the address before it ships.

How can I change my card on file?

We do not store card information unless you have a current subscription. We cannot bill your card unless it's associated with a current subscription. If you need to replace the card on file, login to your account, click on Manage My Subscriptions, and then click on Payment Methods.

PREORDERS

What is your policy for Preorders?

Quilted Chicken offers preorders on some of our favorite upcoming collections. You can see these in our Preorder menu at the top of the website.

Placing a Preorder means you are reserving fabric by paying for a listing up-front, before this item ships from the manufacturer. We base most fabric orders on what we see in our preorders. The delivery month is provided for each fabric in the title and description. We will ship all preorder fabrics immediately upon receiving. If we are notified by the manufacturer that there are delays or mis-shipments, and it affects your order we will reach out as soon as we are aware, and work with you to find a reasonable solution.

Please know that all Preorder sales can be cancelled within 24 hours, after that they are final and cannot be altered or combined with other orders. If you have placed multiple orders that are showing to arrive in the same weeks time we will try to combine them and issue a refund on any extra shipping.

Please do not order IN STOCK items with your Preorder items. All items placed on an order with preorder are held and shipped when the order is complete.

When will my preorder ship?

For each preorder item you will see month tab with the release month and year over the fabric photo. These items are available to preorder and the arrival date is an estimation that is subject to change without notice. We cannot guarantee ship dates, however, we can guarantee that we will ship your order within 48 hours of receiving the item.

I ordered a few in stock items with my preorder. When will in stock items ship?

If you only placed one order, you order will ship when all items are available. Please make sure to check that any preorder item is placed in a separate order. Any in stock items will be cut at the time of order and held until all items are ready to ship.

REWARDS PROGRAM

Do you have a rewards program?

Yes but you must have created an acount at Quilted Chicken to collect and use reward points. Check the top menu bar for "Account"

How do I earn rewards?

Click the rewards button on the bottom left screen to see "Ways to earn"

You get 3 points for every $1 spent online and in store.

I have reward points. How do I see my balance?

Make sure you are logged in to your account and open the rewards button at the bottom left to view your balance and see your history points.

Points will be added to your account once an order is completed. If for any reason your order is adjusted or cancelled your points will be adjusted automatically from Smileio

How do I redeem my points?

Make sure you are logged in to your account and open the rewards button at the bottom left.

Click Ways to redeem. If you have point available to use you can click the redeem points button.

It will show your reward as a discount code to apply at checkout. Click apply code and you offer will show at checkout.

ACCOUNT

Can I shop without an account?

Yes. Shop to your hearts content. We have a great rewards program, but we also send our returning customers discount codes by email

Why should I have an account?

The acount section of our website will keep all your orders in one place. You can keep track of what items you've bought from us and you'll accrue rewards you can use towards more of your favorite things. Fabric!

Why do I keep getting a code to log in with my account?

Sometimes passwords get lost or forgotten and it's a hassle to reset. Our account system will send a code to your phone or email so you can log in easily without remembering a password. You can always leave your shopping tab open and you'll stay logged in.
